What is Visual Cylinder Inspection®?
Some people say "scuba tank inspection training" or "VIP training"; but however you say it Federal regulations require persons engaged with high pressure cylinders (hazmat) receive formal, function specific training. Training is also very important in order to perform high quality visual inspections on high pressure cylinders. Visual inspections for SCUBA cylinders are required annually and other cylinders may require inspections at different intervals.
Visual inspection is a necessary process in order to determine a cylinder's suitability for continued service. However, it constitutes more than looking into a cylinder and pronouncing it "good to go". Knowing what makes a cylinder "good" and what makes it "bad" is why cylinder training courses are important. And contrary to popular belief, there are laws concerning cylinder handling and visual inspection as well as eddy current application!
The PSI-PCI Visual Cylinder Inspection® program is the original visual inspection training based on the rules and regulations pertaining to cylinder hazmat. Since 1983 we have been the gold standard for Visual Cylinder Inspection® training and the only training available recognized by the USDOT, Compressed Gas Association and cylinder manufacturers. Cylinder manufacturers formally endorse, utilize and refer to our training.
The professional choice is clear! No one else can provide you with the depth of expertise and experience, professional consultation and level of support that PSI-PCI does.
